The ideal job

Being a major player 

  • Call on targeted accounts to increase and achieve annual sales targets for the territory

  • Handle the set up and tear down of displays at customer sites

  • Maintain long term business relationships with customers by visiting regularly, assisting with issues and complaints, ensuring timely delivery of products and working with the internal customer service team to provide ongoing support and outstanding service to our customers

  • Provide technical information and support for products

  • Provide the best customer service by generating and managing specifications from product selection to delivery and completion of work

  • Complete weekly reports as required

  • Identify and follow up on new business opportunities to develop the market and ensure the growth of Beaulieu Canada

  • Expand the distribution network to increase Beaulieu Canada's market share in the defined territory

  • Track calls and projects and plan presentations using CRM software (Salesforce or other)

  • Monitor the competition by gathering up-to-date information on pricing, products and merchandising techniques

  • Continually prospect for new accounts

  • Cooperate with the specification team (ADSM) to help develop sales in their territory

The ideal candidate

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Previous sales experience in the floor covering or consumer durables industry through dealers, wholesalers or contractors, an asset

  • Professional training in sales techniques, an asset

  • Previous customer service experience, an asset

  • Good command of Microsoft Office software

  • Experience working with CRM software

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Self-motivation and ability to move quickly from one task to another

  • Ability to build strong business relationships through proven interpersonal skills including influencing and negotiating

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Creativity, assertiveness and versatility
