The ideal job

Being a major player 

  • Organize and plan work and material resources to achieve production objectives

  • Encourage employees to identify ideas for improvement in their area in terms of health and safety, productivity, quality, manufacturing and processing, work methods

  • Review the condition of equipment on a daily basis to ensure that employees are safe, that the premises are clean and that the training of each employee is followed up on

  • Evaluate production start-ups

  • Apply and respect the collective agreement in force

  • Solve production-related problems

  • Produce employee time sheets and required production reports

  • Ensure compliance with procedures and safety rules

  • Communicate and enforce quality standards

  • Support trainers and employees during the training process

  • Evaluate the learning and performance of employees on probation or in training

  • Carry out all other related tasks

The ideal candidate

  • College graduate in textile technology or 3 to 5 years of experience in management

  • Experience in a manufacturing and unionized environment, an asset

  • Leadership, organizational skills, dynamism, good communication skills

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software

  • Fluency in French and knowledge of English, an asset

  • Ability to mobilize employees
