Beaulieu Canada is presently looking for a self-sufficient and meticulous industrial electronics professional to fill a permanent position of electrical technician on the day shift. The person will be responsible for preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and installation of new systems. He/she will have the authority to make changes to the PLC programming source code for production equipment in service. This job opportunity is based at our manufacturing facility located in Acton Vale.  


  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment (control instruments) such as computerized, pneumatic and electropneumatic control loops;

  • Implement new control loops: computerized, pneumatic and/or electropneumatic for process improvement;

  • Carry out diagnostics during unplanned production stoppages and repair production equipment;

  • Propose and collaborate in the development of new control concepts and strategies;

  • Detect and correct recurring problems and activities that need to be automated;

  • Create and document change requests related to automation;

  • Determine actions to be taken based on priorities;

  • Perform all other related tasks.


  • College degree (D.E.C) required in instrumentation and control, or industrial electronics, or electrical engineering;

  • Possession of a "C" license in non-construction electricity will be highly considered;

  • 5 to 10 years experience in a similar position;

  • Good knowledge of MS Office software and synchronized AC/DC motor systems and PLC processes (Allen Bradley: RsLogix500, RsLogix5000, FactoryTalk);

  • Electrical AutoCad drawing;

  • Strong diagnostic and problem solving skills;

  • Results oriented;

  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team environment;

  • Autonomous, dynamic with excellent organizational skills.
