Accounts Receivable & Credit Officer

What are we looking for? An organized, autonomous and versatile individual. Reporting to the Director of Credit and Administration, the incumbent is responsible for the administrative management of accounts receivable.


  • Balance accounts receivables daily

  • Investigate (calculate payment discounts if applicable) and apply cheques to various depository accounts receivable and payments by bank transfer, Visa or Mastercard

  • Respond to various inquiries from French and English speaking clients

  • Send inquiries to clients for the application of cheques

  • Carry out the month end according to the fiscal period (balance the reports) as well as the month end
    Schedule and forward statements of account to the appropriate people

  • In replacement, prepare the daily deposit and update post-dated cheques

  • Provide administrative support to the credit department as needed

  • In replacement, follow up on group purchase orders (#authorization) and
    approval of orders

  • Sort and distribute internal and external mail, distribute faxes

  • Record acknowledgement of receipt of packages

  • Perform Fedex receiving and shipping (domestic and international)

  • Perform all other related tasks


  • D.E.C. in administration or D.E.P. in accounting or equivalent

  • Bilingualism (French/English) essential

  • Good command of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel)

  • Knowledge of accounting software is an asset

  • Demonstrate diplomacy in conversations with clients

  • Have a sense of organization and efficient follow-up

  • Be autonomous and versatile

  • Must be meticulous and have initiative
